Critical to balance and wellbeing, play elevates, reminds us that there is more to life than work. Your call: travel the world, read to a child, play ball with your dog, curl up with a good movie, take a hike (literally), stare at nothing, look your beloved in the eye (see where that takes you!) or participate joyfully and wholeheartedly in any number of relaxing, sanity-inducing activities (also known as fun). This is not a dress rehearsal and birthdays only come once a year. When we play and party like it’s 1990-now, we find balance (if we have a designated driver). Time flies and today really matters. Play’s corollary: bliss! Like a grown-up coloring book, manicure, golf (hmmm…), trip to Paris or a two-hour massage from Sofia Vergara or Denzel Washington–seek, find, capture.
